How to Apply

Apply for Admission: Submit your application for admission to your desired program at the U of A to receive a CCID and password, which you will use to apply for scholarships. Note that it can take two to three business days for a CCID to be generated.
Apply for Scholarships: Use the CCID to complete the scholarship application. Review the Tips for Applying webpage for guidance before getting started.
Application Period: For undergraduate students starting at the U of A in September 2025, the scholarship application opens on October 1, 2024, and closes on January 10, 2025.

Scholastic Distinction Scholarship
- Eligibility: High achievers with admission averages of 95%+ and an outstanding application.
- Award: Yearly award of $50,000 for undergraduate students demonstrating academic excellence.
Entrance Leadership Scholarship
- Eligibility: Well-rounded students with admission averages of 80%+ recognized for their leadership roles.
Enriched Scholar Scholarship
- Eligibility: Top AP and IB students.
- Award: Up to $5,000 to recognize achievements in an academically rigorous program.
Fly Home Award
- Eligibility: Out-of-province Canadian students with a strong sense of community.
- Award: Up to $1,500 to help students stay connected to home.

- Eligibility: Domestic students applying to a U of A undergraduate direct-entry program, demonstrating financial challenges and barriers to attending university.
- Award: Up to $8,000 for up to 30 new students per year.
- Application Period: Opens on October 1, 2024, and closes on February 15, 2025. Offers begin mid-April 2025.
Alberta Student Aid Scholarships
- Deadline: August 1, 2025, for the 2025–2026 funding year.

Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Scholarship
- Eligibility: Open to international students.
- Award: Covers the international differential fee.

Eligibility Criteria for U of A Scholarships
